Hi everybody!
As you probably have notice I just open a facebook page for the blog! If you like you can join it! :) Today, I like to introduce Jeff Koons, one of the major contemporary artists! I can’t avoid to write of him on my blog!! He is an American artist, born in1955, known for his reproductions of banal object, such as balloon animals produced in steel with mirror finish surfaces. His work can be defined as Neo-pop, that is a movement born in the 80s as a reaction to the main streams of the period: Minimalism and Conceptualism. The basic point of Koons’ art is the rejection of any hidden meaning in his artwork. The artist states that there is no gap between the perception of the object and its essence.

Come avrete notato ho appena aperto una pagina su facebook per il blog! Se volete potete unirvi al gruppo! :) Oggi, vi parlo di Jeff Koons, uno dei più famosi artisti contemporanei! Non potevo non dedicargli un articolo sul blog! È un artista americano, nato nel 1955, conosciuto per le sue riproduzioni di oggetti banali, come enormi palloncini a forma di animale fatti di acciaio colorato, con una superficie riflettente. Il suo lavoro fa parte del movimento Neo-pop, nato negli anni 80 come reazione alle principali correnti del periodo: il Minimalismo e il Concettualismo. Il punto principale dell’opera di Koons è il rifiuto assoluto di un qualsiasi significato intrinseco nei suoi lavori. L’artista sottolinea che non c’è nessuna differenza tra ciò che lo spettatore percepisce e ciò che l’oggetto è in sè.
